It's My Party...But I'm Not Crying

yes, it's true...it's this girl's birthday, this sunday to be exact. 28 {now officially late 20s}seems a stretch for me, as i really don't feel anywhere near that number--i think around 25 suits me just fine. what a year this has been. so many exciting events and joyful occasions and it's been so much fun to think of how much has changed in a year.

• i went from being engaged to a married woman...and love every minute of being a mrs/wife/partner-in-crime
• i just hit the 5-year anniversary mark at my company--i cannot believe i have been with my firm for 5 years--lots of good, 2 promotions, a few bumpy roads, but love the people i work with and treasure them more than they know
• i went from having my own money to now on a joint account with my finance man...oh how he loves to talk money!
• i have gone from someone who loves to go and stay out all night to someone who loves nothing more than a date night consisting of dinner and a movie
• i've made new friends and said goodbye to some of my old ones
• i have learned that family is the most important thing in the world and that i wouldn't trade them for anything

who knows what's in store this next year, but i have a feeling it's going to be a GREAT one!

this weekend, we have all sorts of fun festivities in store...tonight, my mom finally gets home from her work travels in canada and i cannot wait to have dinner with the parents. then tomorrow, i'm hoping for major primetime pool action with the BFF, sipping on summertime beverages, and taking in some rays. saturday night, we're headed to rosepepper for my celebratory birthday dinner...ahhh craving some mexican and baked goodies ASAP!

sunday rounds out the bday fun with a morning brunch with my family and then whatever jeff has in store for the rest of the afternoon-lots to be thankful for this year and i cannot lie--excited to open up some new birthday goodies. hope you all have a wonderful weekend, too!!
