I Made It!

Words can't express how thankful I am for all of your sweet comments and nice notes about reaching 1,000 followers. It means a lot when I get emails saying how someone thinks my blog is encouraging and uplifting, or that they always can be assured I'll offer something positive no matter what. One of my favorite quotes "Life's too short to be anything but happy". AMEN!
Funny enough, I received a few emails from loyal readers asking how to gain followers and such...to be honest--and sorry if I let you down here friends--but that I am just not sure of. To me, you should blog about what you want, and if people decide to read, then even better! I've read before that if you're all about fashion, then stick to fashion, and if you love design, then stick to that, but I believe that we're all complicated and like a multitude of things, so I think being random in what you decide to post about in any given day is the best approach. Obviously one day I will post anything and everything about recipes and entertaining, but the next I am speaking of mindless reality TV and celeb-stalking...that seems to work for me to air out my so-called "creative" side. They also say commenting on other people's blogs helps so that they may in fact read your blog and others may follow, too. Hope this helps ladies!
With that, I have already started shopping for My Favorite Things giveaway...I am really wanting to make this special and fun, since I rarely do giveaways, but I want it to really focus on things that I cannot live without/things that make me happy/etc. I am hoping to have everything finished by the end of the weekend and let you know all about the goodies early next week so stay tuned!
Last night, we all went to a new Tex-Mex place here in Nashville called Chago's and it didn't disappoint...the food was awesome and the company even better! This is my attempt at trying out hoards of new {and ones we have yet to try} restaurants locally and I am well on my way...only about 20 or so to go. The only I picture I took, but a keeper for certain:
That's it for today friends...hope you all have a fantabulous evening. This lady will be headed home to finish my gallery print wall, work on my book page wreath, do some laundry, and then get relaxed for the Real Housewives of New York--yay!
