UPDATE!

Hey everyone,

It's been waaay too long since I last posted I know!! But I have been so busy with various projects recently and wanted to finally share them with you.

The first project that I've been working on is called Art Meets Fashion. It's basically a collaborative art experience including a fashion designer (me), an artist (Valentine Viannay), a teacher (Robin Przybysz), and a documenter (Jeffrey R. Brosbe).

Our theme is the progression from the apocalypse to enlightenment in five stages... Check out the website here for more info!

We have been meeting and working on our collection for about 8 months now and it is almost complete!! Here are some photos of our progress and check out the website for more info on show dates and such....

Drawing of Ash Lady, the first stage of the apocalypse...

Draping for Mud Lady, stage two and beginning of the rebirth!

Draping for the vest for Mud Lady.

Seed Lady sketches and fabric shots...

Close-up shot of Water Woman, with yarn to be used in head piece.

Here is the video of our group working together and some of the pieces in the making:

I'd like to keep you all up to date on the happenings and progression of this project by posting up more photos and inspirational images as we get closer to the show dates so stay tuned for more info in the coming months!

Ok, so the OTHER project I'm working on is a wedding for a friend. She contacted me a few months ago about making 5 bridesmaid dresses for her wedding in February and I gladly accepted! She sent me a photo of a vintage dress that she wanted replicated so I whipped up a pattern and made a sample and the rest is history!

This is the vintage dress:

Here is a photo of four of the finished dresses:

The front of the dresses has a boat neckline and it is sleeveless, and then the back brings all of the dresses together with a green lapel which folds over revealing a little skin on the wearer... I love how unexpected this element of the dress is and it's so vintage inspired!!

I even made a tie for the event!

Thanks for checking the blog I'm very excited to share my work with you all! If you have any questions about custom designs I am always happy to hear from you : )
