Inspirational tidbits and lovely ladies


There are several artists and fashionistas, from the now and also from the past, that I thought I would share with you as a sort of documentation of what's inspiring Clover and Folly designs right now.

One very exciting discovery is of the illustrator and fantastical mixed media artist Kat Macleod. She's done illustrations for numerous books and advertisments, as well as magazines. Here are a few of her pieces that really got me:

letting the color bleed outside the lines.

Also to note is the fabulous fashionista from times past: Maxime de la Falaise. Besides being a style icon she was also a model, designer, writer, and accomplished cook. Her chic style was the inspiration of huge designers like Yves St. Laurent and Elsa Schiaparelli in the 1950's and she was included in Warhol's films in the 60's and 70's.
